Celebrating Black Artistry Through Music

Castle of our Skins co-directors Ashleigh Gordon and Anthony Green join us for a weekend of events. All events are free and open to the public.

A workshop for kids ages 8-12,  A Little History weaves music, history, poetry, storytelling and audience interaction into a fun-filled exploration into Black history.

Lecture: Black Composers – a Historical and Philosophical Overview

Gordon and Green showcase diverse voices of Black composers, past and present, examining how social climates directly inspired the creation of certain compositional philosophies amongst Black composers.
