Anyone can make a gift to the Redeemer’s Covenant Endowment by designating an offering to it. Redeemer members often make memorial gifts to Redeemer’s Covenant Endowment and plan gifts to the fund in their wills. Gifts to the Covenant Endowment Fund cannot be used for operating expenses of the church and are generally gifts intended to serve the church in perpetuity.
Redeemer generally grants 4% of this fund annually to ministries both inside and outside the church. According to Redeemer’s bylaws, endowment grants support the activities of the Mission Outreach ministry area, with the recommendation of the Property ministry area, support major improvements or additions to capital assets and real estate owned by the congregation, are given to other causes not a part of the regular budget of Redeemer which are approved by Redeemer’s Council, and which are consistent with the ministry of this congregation.
